About Amanda Nephew
As an LMFT (Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist) I provide individual, couple, premarital and family therapy. I found my love of working with couples and families during my graduate level internship with well known and seasoned therapist Mark Anderson, MA, LMFT, LP. Along with couple and family work, my clinical experience also includes a wide spectrum of individual therapy issues, crisis work, domestic violence support, chaotic family conflict management, youth probation and child protection issues. I also have ten years experience working with adolescent girls around areas of identity, mental health issues, anxiety, boundaries and personal development.
I understand many times when people seek therapy, they are hurting, frustrated and desperate for something to change. As a therapist, I see my role as coming along side a client to enable them to tell their story, explore it's meaning and help them change it. Through the use of a therapeutic relationship and a blend of techniques, I can be a catalyst of change for kids, men, women and couples to strengthen their relationships, heal old wounds, explore current life issues and change negative patterns.
