What's the difference between therapy and coaching?
“Therapy” and “Coaching” can seem very similar, but there are some basic differences to help you decide what is a better fit for you
Therapy
Therapy is a long-term process that focuses on a diagnosable issue, past trauma, family of origin issues and/or a problem individually or relationally. The outcomes are healing and relief.
Coaching
Coaching is a short or long term process that focused on increasing self-awareness, professional development, strengthening relationships and removing barriers that have caused stuck-ness. The outcomes are clearer purpose and achieving goals.
